Quotes & pricing

Three things: the volume of your goods in cubic metres, the distance between the two addresses, and how difficult the access is at each end. Stairs, long carries from the parking bay, and lift bookings all add crew time. We quote a fixed rand figure up front — not an hourly rate that keeps climbing while you watch.

Yes, provided the inventory does not change. If you add a second lounge suite the week before, we will re-quote and tell you before move day, never after. The only variables we cannot control are things like a lift breaking down on the day, and even then we discuss the cost with you before doing the work.

A 50% deposit confirms your date and the balance is due on completion, before offload. For long-distance and storage bookings we discuss terms with you when we quote.

EFT is preferred. We also accept card on site and cash. We issue a proper tax invoice for every job — useful if you are claiming a relocation allowance from an employer.

We can, from a detailed room list or a video walkthrough on WhatsApp, and that is accurate enough for most flats and small houses. For anything over three bedrooms we strongly recommend the free on-site survey — it is the difference between an estimate and a guarantee.

Booking & move day

Two to four weeks is comfortable. Month-end, and especially the last Friday of the month, books out first — if you are moving then, get in earlier. We do take short-notice work when we have capacity, so phone us even if your move is next week.

Standard start is 07:00 at the collection address. We confirm the crew, the truck and the arrival time with you the afternoon before. If we are going to be late, you hear it from us before the appointment time, not after.

A one-bedroom flat is usually a half day. A three-bedroom house is a full day. A four-bedroom-plus home, or anything with difficult access at both ends, is often planned across two days with the load staying secured on the truck overnight.

Someone needs to be present at both addresses to point us at what goes and to sign off at the end. It does not have to be you — a family member, a tenant or an agent with your written authority is fine.

Defrost and dry the fridge and freezer at least 12 hours ahead, empty the washing machine and disconnect the gas. Keep passports, jewellery, medication and laptops with you rather than on the truck. Everything else, we handle.

Insurance & what we handle

Every load carries goods-in-transit cover as standard. For higher-value households we offer optional all-risk cover on your declared replacement value, which covers accidental damage during handling as well as transit. We will quote it alongside the move.

Note it on the delivery sheet before the crew leaves and phone us the same day. We photograph and log the item, and our office comes back to you within two working days with a repair, replacement or settlement. We would far rather fix it than argue about it.

By law we cannot carry petrol, gas cylinders, paint thinners, fireworks or other flammables. We also decline live plants on long-distance runs (they do not survive), pets, and loose cash or jewellery. Firearms must be transported by the licence holder.

Yes, all three. Tell us up front so we send four crew and the right dollies and straps. Pool tables are dismantled and re-slated by arrangement, and pianos should be re-tuned a fortnight after the move once they have settled.

Coverage & logistics

Greater Johannesburg is our home ground — Sandton, Randburg, Roodepoort, Soweto, Midrand, Fourways, the East Rand and the South. We move into Pretoria and the wider Gauteng daily, and run interprovincial routes to all nine provinces.

Saturday is a normal working day for us with no surcharge. Sundays and public holidays are available by arrangement and quoted separately.

Our trucks are GPS tracked. On long-distance loads we share a live tracking link with you at departure and give you the driver's direct number.

It does not stop us. Crews carry head torches and work lights, and we plan lift-dependent moves in complexes and office towers around the published schedule wherever we can. If a stage change traps a load, we secure it on the truck and finish the moment power returns.
