Who we are
Just In Time Removals Services ("we", "us") is a furniture removals business operating from Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. What we collect
When you request a quote or send us a message we collect your name, email address, phone number, the addresses involved in your move, details of the goods being moved, and anything else you choose to tell us in the notes.
When you use the website we may collect standard technical information such as your browser type, device and the pages you visited. We do not use this to identify you personally.
Why we use it
To prepare and send you a quote, to plan and carry out your move, to contact you about a booking, to meet our legal and tax obligations, and to handle any insurance claim arising from a move.
We rely on your consent when you tick the box on a form, and on the performance of our contract with you once you have booked. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
Who we share it with
Only where it is necessary to do the job: our own crew and drivers, our insurers where a claim is made, storage partners where you have booked storage, and building or estate management where they require a crew list to grant access.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not pass it to third-party marketers.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not become bookings are kept for 12 months. Records of completed moves are kept for 5 years, as required for tax and insurance purposes. After that they are securely destroyed.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to object to us processing it, and to ask us to delete it where we are not legally obliged to keep it.
To exercise any of these, email us and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Security
Quote and contact form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and delivered to a company mailbox. Access to those records is limited to staff who need it to do their work.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your in-progress quote is saved in your own browser's local storage so you can come back to it — that data stays on your device and is never sent to us until you submit the form.
